Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy covers the SnapCabinet native iOS application offered by Elidron LLC (Florida, USA) and these dedicated policy pages. SnapCabinet is a local-first document archive; it does not provide a cloud storage service by default.

What We Store On Your Device

• Scanned document images and PDF exports
• Extracted text data (OCR results)
• Organizational metadata (folders, tags, categories)
• Application preferences (theme, sorting options)
• Secure metadata in standard iOS storage

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not have access to your documents or scanned content
• We do not collect biometric data (FaceID/TouchID processing is handled by iOS)
• No analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs in the app
• No cookies or tracking pixels on these SnapCabinet web pages
• No sale or sharing of personal information

Biometric Data

SnapCabinet uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to allow you to unlock the app with FaceID or TouchID. This authentication happens entirely on your device using the Secure Enclave. Elidron never receives, stores, or processes your biometric data.

On-Device Intelligence (OCR)

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is performed locally on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Your document images are not sent to any server for processing.

Data Sharing & Sync

• Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it
• If you enable iCloud Backup or iCloud Drive sync, your data is encrypted and stored by Apple according to your iCloud terms
• Elidron does not have access to your iCloud data
• You are responsible for the destination of any documents you export or share via the iOS Share Sheet

Security

• App access can be secured via FaceID/TouchID
• Documents are stored in the app's secure sandbox container
• iOS file protection encryption is applied to local storage
• Exports can be password-protected dependent on the file format

Retention & Deletion

All data remains on your device until you delete it. Deleting a document removes it permanently. Deleting the app removes all associated local data. If you use iCloud, deleting data on one device may propagate to others.

California Privacy (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information. Because SnapCabinet does not maintain centralized user records, typical CCPA rights (know/delete/correct) generally do not apply to us directly. You have full control over the data on your device.

Children

SnapCabinet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the date below and post the revised version here. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes.
